New Installation

 

This service involves installing a complete septic system for a new home or building. It includes designing the system based on the property's size and soil type, obtaining permits, and then installing all components, such as the septic tank and the drain field (also known as the leach field or field lines). Proper installation is crucial for the system's longevity and functionality.

Diagnose and Repair

This service focuses on identifying and fixing problems within an existing septic system. Common issues include clogged pipes, leaking tanks, or a failing drain field. Professionals use various tools, such as cameras and pressure testers, to pinpoint the source of the problem and then perform the necessary repairs, which can range from simple pipe clearing to more extensive work like replacing a damaged tank or a section of the drain field.

Site Prep and Excavation-including Field Lines

Before any new installation or major repair, site preparation is essential. This category of service includes clearing the area of trees and debris, grading the land to ensure proper drainage, and excavating the trenches for the septic tank and the field lines (drain field). The field lines are a network of perforated pipes laid in gravel-filled trenches that allow treated wastewater to be dispersed into the soil for final purification.

Pumping

Septic pumping, or pump-outs, is a routine maintenance service where a professional pumps out the sludge and scum that accumulate in the septic tank. This prevents the tank from overflowing and the solids from entering and clogging the drain field, which can lead to costly repairs. The frequency of pumping depends on the tank's size and household usage, but is typically recommended every 3-5 years.
